The roof is taking shape. Despite quite a lot of setbacks the builders are now making real progress outside and the shape of the roof is becoming very clear. All of the roof trusses over our new bedroom are in place; the kitchen roof is more complicated but even I can work out what I think the joiner will do next to put the valleys in place. The windows are made and paid for, stored in a neighbour's garage till they are stained and fitted. We only have a few concrete blocks left lying around the garden.
